***Attention home school and charter school students. I have a full day schedule to meet your schedule needs.*** Welcome to my guitar lesson program! I've been with Outschool for over three years and enjoy helping learners follow their passion of learning to play an instrument. I always strive to inspire and create a pleasant lesson for your learner. (The intro video is brief. I wanted to hold back on overplaying, since this is about the learner who may be at the beginning stages. There are plenty of online musicians that inspire if you want to see that. It's not how much I know, it's how much can the learner take it at our lessons.) About audio setup: There should be a zoom setting for musicians. Be sure to set it to that after you log on. Also, using phones and tables may not allow the guitar sound to transmit. The sound may bottle neck during the transfer. A good connection will also be important. Class description: This beginner to intermediate guitar class is for families that want their child to have the chance to learn an instrument while they are young. If you have had beginner lessons, been playing a while or started on your own but want a little more guidance, I can help you with further study. The pace of learning is generally set by the learner, based on other scheduled commitments for practice time. This is a no pressure class where we will learn and enjoy making music where ever you are at. Once the learner becomes self motivated, that will lead to more interest in practice and growth. We will progress through learning notes, chords, and playing songs. The lessons will also focus on playing style and how to achieve a musical feeling. Each meeting will have a similar format, as in a typical private lesson. I will teach and demonstrate the weekly topic from the lesson files provided. The learner will be assigned material to practice between classes. The progress outcome is up to you, depending on dedication and endurance to stick with this new activity. With consistent practice, progress can be made. I hope you will give it a try. It's a lot of fun making music.

Hi everyone, I'm Mr. G. and welcome to my world on Outschool.
I've been playing music and making magic for about 50 years and enjoy it so much that I want to share what I know about it with you! I always enjoy meeting new learners. There's always room for you. Just contact me if you don't see an opening. My schedule changes a bit during the school year.
From private piano lessons as a child to advanced studies in college, I have always sought to explore music as much as possible. I have taught music to many children and adults over the years. I have also performed in bands, playing many styles of music on piano, keyboard and guitar. With over two decades of both private lessons and classroom experience, each class is individually designed to help spark your child's inner creativity.
Be sure to check out my magic classes as well. They are full of fun, educational and entertaining, where we learn all about making magic, life skills and performing in front of others. I think you'll have a great time.
My wife and I enjoy playing music together, travel, hiking, and biking.
