Class Experience

US Grade 6 - 9
Welcome to your class on D.B. Cooper! We will attempt to answer the question: 'How did one mysterious man disappear carrying $200,000, without a trace?'

This one-time class will look at the story behind D.B. Cooper, the man who hijacked an airplane, only to later parachute out of that same airplane. On November 24, 1971, strange events transpired that left the FBI and the world confused by the details of this story. To this day, there are still rumours, evidence, and theories that swirl around the internet and TV about who D.B. Cooper really was and where all that money went. We might not have all the facts but we will attempt to piece together a puzzling story that has many twists and turns, and attempt to answer these questions:
Who was D.B. Cooper? Could he have survived his jump from the plane? What did he do with the money if he did survive?

In this class, we will discuss the story, various theories, and what we think the truth is behind this story. Students will be guided through a slideshow presentation using images and discussion questions to direct our time together. At the end of class, students will play a game of Kahoot to test their knowledge of the story of D.B. Cooper.
