In this one-time class, learners will listen to the story A Little Spot of Anxiety and discuss what was read in the story. Together we will practice breathing techniques (from the story) that learners can use when they are feeling those big feelings of anxiety. Being able to identify when anxiety is present is an important concept as a child. As a licensed behavior specialist, I know how important it can be to fully equip our littles with a tool box full of techniques to manage their emotions. A coloring sheet will be provided for learners to color during class. After the story, we will use it as a way to center and practice breathing techniques when we are feeling big feelings of anxiety. Learners will also be able to draw their own anxious spot. This class is not a therapy related class and will not have therapy services. It will help children understand what anxiety feels like and be able to identify it to manage their emotion better. **Teacher has permission to read this story in class therefore a recording will not be available.**
