🌺Welcome!

I am an experienced educator who believes in structured small-group learning, positive methodologies, and engaging lessons. In this transitional class, skills and objectives follow Kinder and 1st Grade Common Core State Standards.  Students will learn catchy reading and writing strategies, we will blend & segment words, and students will be introduced to 1st grade English Language grammar.  Students will learn digraphs, sight words, and blends with characters, chants, and videos.  We will play phonics games, use dough for sight word building, and practice writing with our dry erase boards.

Pre-Requisites

Requirements to feel successful joining: *knows most letter names and sounds (b says buh) *knows some small sight words (a, the, of, and) *can read and write a few basic CVC words (H/O/P = hop)

Supply List

Please come prepared each day with a dry erase board & dry erase marker.  
You will also need dough or clay (a couple of times per week, for sight word building).
