US Grade 1 - 2
🌺Welcome! I am an experienced educator who believes in structured small-group learning, positive methodologies, and engaging lessons! In this transitional class, students will improve their reading & writing skills by participating in parts-of-speech activities, sight word building, & leveled reading opportunities. Students will write narratives, persuasive essays, fictional stories, and other types of nonfiction pieces as well. We will practice editing, we will use writing checklists, and we'll learn how to find proof when we answer comprehension questions (literal, inferential, & critical thinking). Additionally, we will keep our brain in peak performance with mini exercise breaks. Let's Have Fun & Learn a Ton! 💖Ms.Bree Prerequisites: *We will mostly be reading level i and J books in this class. Therefore, your child needs to be able to read (or mostly read) a level G book: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVWapbl7Ibg (If they cannot read this fluently, then they should join my Mid-Year 1st Grade class.)
