Class Experience

This class is offered to individual visual arts students who are in the process of completing the International Baccalaureate Visual Arts course. The content will be individualised to meet the student's needs and to address the part of the course they request help with. During each session we will review work completed, discussing and developing student progress on specific assessments as well as set goals for our next session together. The assessments we will address are Part 1: Comparative Study, Part 2: Process Portfolio & Part 3: Exhibition.
Learning Goals
Students will receive individualised support to help them understand and complete the assessments set in their Visual Arts course. Examples of these are:
* understanding and addressing the learning objectives specific for their course
* developing a focus for their art-making practice and exhibition that reflects their artistic intentions
* choosing, researching and developing a comparative study of renowned artworks that inspires their own work - this includes developing the learner's fluency in the language of composition
* choosing a range of media and processes that challenge and develop skills and supports their development as artists
* developing a process portfolio that clearly communicates the young artist's artistic processes
* creating a curatorial rational that supports the viewers understanding of the young artist's exhibition.
