Students will see my samples of art work that I have designed and focus on the lines, thick, thin, curved, straight etc. is used to form my art work.
We will talk about how to create the shapes and patterns to create the illusion of movement or 3D effect.
Students will learn and try to create their own op-art by using a mixture of straight and curved lines, or draw a large simple closed shape or several smaller simple shapes in pencil.
Students will be instructed how to add lines to their paper, lines outside the shapes need to be straight, lines inside the shape need to arc within the shape. Students will be encouraged to keep their lines as continuous as possible.
