Welcome to Mrs. D's Art Room, where it is always a good day when you are learning something new! In this ongoing class, young artists will use step-by-step instructions to draw and paint some awesome projects using our new art theory skills. Our projects include animals, birds, objects, flowers, and human drawings. Art theory focuses on the seven elements as line, shape, color, form, space, texture, and value. Young artists will improve and understand the basics of the seven elements of art which is line, shape, color, form, space, texture, and value through art theory projects.
All I have studied in four years of art college was based on art theory. I have used that basic theory of art, color, and design to create fun projects for younger artists in this ongoing Art theory course.
Material list for Acrylic paint projects: 1. drawing book/multimedia drawing paper (8x11 preferred) 2. pencil 3. eraser 4. ruler 5. Sharpie/permanent marker to trace the drawing 6. acrylic paints 7. brushes round and flat both 8. paint palate 9. small water cup for cleaning paintbrushes 10. paper towels Material list for Pencil shading projects: 1. drawing book/multimedia drawing paper (at least 8x11 preferred) 2. pencil-2B, 4B, 6B. 3. eraser 4. ruler 5. Sharpie to outline the drawing 6. Art Blending tool/ Q-tips Material list for Oil pastel projects : 1. drawing book/piece of paper (at least 8x11 preferred) 2. Pencil 3. Eraser 4. Ruler 5. 55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
I will share some pictures of some famous artists for reference. To explain the elements of art I will share some pictures from internet to get clear idea.
