Here's how the class will work: First, we'll spend 5 minutes introducing ourselves. Next, we'll spend 10 to 15 minutes drawing using easy steps and basic shapes. I'll share fun facts about the characters while we draw. Then, we'll spend 40-45 minutes drawing faces and characters using various techniques, textures, and sometimes basic shading to create art that follows facial anatomy. In the last 5 minutes, we'll finish our projects and have time for any questions or to talk about the next class project. I'll use a dual screen so the kids can see me drawing with them throughout class. Kids are encouraged to make their artwork unique and complete it independently if they're not finished in class. I'll adjust the pace based on the student's abilities, going slower or faster as needed. I'll also extend the class for a couple of minutes whenever possible if a student needs more time. This is an ongoing course, so students can enroll or withdraw at any time. In each meeting, young artists will create ONE drawing. Please check the scheduled times to see which week each drawing will be taught and the materials needed for each drawing. No experience is needed for this class; learners will follow the directions I give. If this class interests your learner, please sign up. I'm excited to meet your learner! Hope to see your young artist in my classes soon!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello and Welcome Outschoolars! I’m Mrs.D. ! I appreciate you considering me to be a part of your young artist's art journey!
I teach various art classes that involve color theories, color wheels, and color schemes that work together to create human figures, landscaping, and canvas painting with easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions. I love to teach different styles and techniques of art using Art Theory.
I am an artist by profession. I have a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. I have participated in many art exhibitions in my public art center and library and taught art, crafts, and card making in elementary schools and Girl Scouts as a volunteer. I love to share art with my community.
I have been teaching 1:1 art classes online and in person for the last 5 years to ages 4 to 14 years. I have instructed children online all around the world, and continue to teach local classes and workshops in my community. I am so happy to continue what I am doing on a bigger and better platform from the comfort of my home.
I like to teach Art Theory in most of my projects so kids will learn multiple things without even realizing it. I believe all students can learn, and art is the best way to express yourself and your feelings in your unique way.
Art helps to improve hand and eye coordination. It also helps to grow your concentration and patience. Sometimes young minds can't express themselves through talking, but through drawing. I love connecting with students through art and helping them grow, laugh, and have some fun!
Class Expectation: Everyone works at different speeds. If the child is not finished with the piece by the end of class, they can finish the remaining picture at home and post it in the classroom.
Join me on this incredible adventure to take your child’s passion to the next level.
Thank you for visiting my profile! I’m looking forward to being a part of your child's art journey, growth, and success; can’t wait to see you in class!
