Class Experience

Welcome to Mrs. D's Art Room where it is always a good day when you are learning something new!

In this one-time 1:1 class, young artists will use step-by-step instructions with a demonstration to paint an awesome acrylic painting.

I will first define and explain to them what is tint, tone, and shade and how we are going to use them while coloring.

If learners are familiar with using canvas they are welcome to use a canvas for this painting. I am going to teach using an acrylic artist pad.

Tint, tone, and shades are basic color theories with which new learners will learn how to mix and blend colors and make lots of shades using black and whites. We will also use various techniques such as dry brushing and color blending. We will mostly use flat, round, and fan brushes while painting.

By knowing and learning this, kids will take their paintings to a different level and create visually appealing and effectively communicative paintings.

It’s always fun to watch and paint with the young artists. I am also going through all the steps and giving a demo of every technique we will be using.

While painting, I would love to share my experiences and let young artists share their experiences with camping and art.

I will ask kids to show their artwork in between steps to see if they understand the technique. They will also be encouraged to make their artwork unique and complete their art independently if they are not finished in class. I pace our class based on the student’s abilities, so we will go slower or faster depending on how they are doing.

No experience is needed for this class; learners will follow directions.

Hello and Welcome Outschoolars! I’m Mrs.D. ! I appreciate you considering me to be a part of your young artist's art journey!

I teach various art classes that involve color theories, color wheels, and color schemes that work together to create human figures, landscaping, and canvas painting with easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions. I love to teach different styles and techniques of art using Art Theory.

I am an artist by profession. I have a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. I have participated in many art exhibitions in my public art center and library and taught art, crafts, and card making in elementary schools and Girl Scouts as a volunteer. I love to share art with my community.

I have been teaching 1:1 art classes online and in person for the last 5 years to ages 4 to 14 years. I have instructed children online all around the world, and continue to teach local classes and workshops in my community. I am so happy to continue what I am doing on a bigger and better platform from the comfort of my home.

I like to teach Art Theory in most of my projects so kids will learn multiple things without even realizing it. I believe all students can learn, and art is the best way to express yourself and your feelings in your unique way.

Art helps to improve hand and eye coordination. It also helps to grow your concentration and patience. Sometimes young minds can't express themselves through talking, but through drawing. I love connecting with students through art and helping them grow, laugh, and have some fun!

Class Expectation: Everyone works at different speeds. If the child is not finished with the piece by the end of class, they can finish the remaining picture at home and post it in the classroom.

Join me on this incredible adventure to take your child’s passion to the next level.

Thank you for visiting my profile! I’m looking forward to being a part of your child's art journey, growth, and success; can’t wait to see you in class!
