In this ongoing art class, learn to paint a new acrylic painting each week in a relaxed, supportive environment. We will paint animals, nature, landscapes, seasonal artwork and learn art techniques. New Winter Paintings!
Class experience
Beginner - Intermediate Level
During this fun, creative art club, students will learn to paint landscapes, seascapes, animals, and objects from nature and our imagination. In spring, we will paint floral designs, trees, and spring scenes. In summer, we will paint the beach, seashells, boats, and palm trees. In the fall, we will paint fall themed items such as pumpkins, apples, and fall animals. In the winter, we will paint snowscapes, winter scenes, pine trees, snowmen, and warm cozy indoor scenes. Students will learn about acrylic painting in a relaxed club style environment. Students will develop artistic skills and confidence through practice.
Homework Offered
Many paintings are not complete in just one sitting. Students are welcome to continue painting on their artwork if desired. Students are encouraged to bring back paintings they have worked on during the week to share their progress.Assessments Offered

Small canvas or canvas paper - 8x10 or smaller size. ***Please note that if learners use larger canvases, they will need to work outside of class time to complete projects. Acrylic paints - assorted colors in student quality. Must have white, black, and a wide assortment of colors Brushes - assorted set of brushes, including wide flat brushes, tapered brushes, round tip brushes, and fine tip brushes. Optional fan brush Palette knife and palette for holding/mixing paint Pencil and eraser 1 jar of clean water, 1 jar of water to clean brushes with Paper towels and/or newspaper to keep work space clean Optional smock or clothing that can get messy
