This course listing is for private Latin lessons. I will meet students where they are academically in their understanding of Latin, and we will work together to build their understanding of grammar, vocabulary, and syntax of the Latin language. I can provide support to students who may be struggling in an existing Latin class, or I can work with parents/students to create a Latin class from scratch. Many of the Latin curricula I've listed have violent topics of gladiator combat, Roman military discussions, the disaster of Mount Vesuvius' eruption. Some texts - notably Lingua Latina - use action verbs such as "hit' to illustrate and teach the relationship between subject, verb, and direct object. In my classes we always discuss how that's NOT a way to solve problems, and we brainstorm what other ways kids should get out their negative energy/emotions.
