This course is a fast-paced review of foundational Latin grammar. Ideally enrolled students will already be familiar with the majority of the grammatical topics listed in the syllabus before joining this class. If you are uncertain if this is the right level of a course for your learner, feel free to message me directly prior to enrolling. Each of Days 1, 2, 3, and 4 in this course will be spent discussing grammatical forms and functions for about the first hour of class. The remaining thirty minutes will be spent reading and translating texts that help us more deeply grasp those grammatical topics and see them in a larger Latin context. On Day 5, we will wrap up any loose ends and spend the remainder of our time reading, translating, and discussing grammar in larger passages of Latin text.

Parental Guidance
Ancient Rome was a grisly place for many reasons, and this is frequently reflected in the readings done in Latin classes. All of the readings I have selected are school-appropriate, but may contain monsters, bloodshed, descriptions of enslaved peoples, battles, etc.
