Do you struggle with social anxiety? Whether it's meeting new people, making friends, giving a presentation or just not knowing what to say, social anxiety can be very debilitating. As someone who has dealt with social anxiety throughout my life; I am here to tell you that it CAN get better. In this class, I will provide you with the tools you need to overcome social anxiety. This class will include the following: - A brief educational lesson on what Social Anxiety is. - We will explore 3 tools you can use to overcome social anxiety 1) Mindfulness - We will learn how to be present and practice mindful breathing 2) Challenging Negative Thoughts - We will learn how to recognize and challenge our negative thoughts through written activities 3) Creating Goals - We will learn how to create goals to overcome our social fears. - Lastly, there will be time for questions I will teach this class using discussion and PowerPoint format. Students should print out worksheets posted in the classroom and bring a paper and a pencil.

Students will learn what causes social anxiety and how they can overcome it using tools of mindfulness, challenging negative thought patterns and creating positive goals.
