Hello, I'm Mrs. Ross, an experienced educator passionate about teaching children foundational reading skills. With over five years in the classroom, I've dedicated myself to helping young learners master the building blocks of reading—letters, sounds, and phonics. I believe that these skills are the foundation for lifelong learning and success. My approach is upbeat and motivating, creating a positive environment where every child can thrive. I've seen firsthand how unlocking the world of reading opens doors for my students, and it's a joy to be part of their journey. Join me for our semester course designed to engage and excite your students about the magic of reading! We will begin with introductions, have a mini-review of the prior skill taught, introduce a new skill, continue going over the current skill, engage in interactive activities, and conclude with an overview of what we learned each day. My teaching style is student-led and interactive learning, whether using songs to sing along or using salt trays/whiteboards/ or crayons to write their letters for added engagement! Students are encouraged to help each other learn as they each go through this journey together. This approach ensures that each lesson is both engaging and tailored to your child's learning preferences.

Parental Guidance
When children use a salt tray for letter writing activities, parental supervision and guidance are essential to ensure their safety. Salt trays can be a fun and effective tool for learning letter formation, but it's important for parents to advise their children on proper use. Younger children especially may need reminders not to ingest the salt or put their fingers in their mouths or eyes after touching the tray. Parents should also ensure that the salt tray is placed on a stable surface to prevent spills or accidents. Regularly check the condition of the salt tray to ensure it remains clean and safe for use. By providing appropriate guidance and supervision, parents can enhance their child's learning experience while ensuring their safety during activities involving salt trays.
