🧁 In this fun and interactive summer camp, kids will dream up their own bakery brand and bring it to life using Canva! Over four exciting days, they’ll explore logo design, branding, and digital art - all while having a blast with their ideas. Here’s what they’ll do: • Come up with a fun bakery name • Design a unique logo that represents their brand • Create a colorful menu and custom recipe card • Build a storefront design to complete their brand identity This hands-on design camp is perfect for kids who love art, creativity, and digital design. And there's no baking required! I’ll guide them step by step, giving them plenty of space to explore their own ideas while learning real-world design skills. Whisking Up a Logo

We'll also start designing a unique logo in Canva by choosing colors, fonts, and a design that fits your brand. Before we dive into Canva, we'll complete today's worksheet together to plan out our ideas.

Lesson 2:
A Menu Full of Treats
🎂 Today, we'll design a bakery menu that showcases your delicious treats!
Using your brand colors, fonts, and logo, you'll create a visually appealing and fun menu that fits your bakery's style. We'll start with a worksheet to plan out your menu before bringing it to life in Canva! 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Sweet Recipe Creations
🍰 Today, we'll design a personalized recipe card to match your bakery brand!
You'll use your colors, fonts, and logo to create a stylish and functional card. If you finish early, you can use the extra time to refine your logo and menu. 45 mins online live lesson

Sprinkling on the Finishing Touches
🧁 In our final class, you'll design a storefront sign to bring your bakery brand to life!
Use your colors, fonts, and logo to create a sign that represents your unique style. Then, add any final touches to complete your bakery brand! 45 mins online live lesson
Other Details
Pre-Requisites
Students should have a basic familiarity with Canva - knowing how to find and add images and text is ideal. No extensive experience is needed; a bit of exploration will help them dive right into the camp.
Supply List
I’ll provide printable worksheets for brainstorming and planning! If printing isn’t an option, students can use a notebook or scrap paper instead.

We will be using Canva as our primary design tool. The free version of Canva works great for this class, but if your child has access to the paid version, they'll have even more design options to explore (which can make the experience even more fun!).
Additionally, I may guide your child in using a search engine (such as Google) to explore real bakeries, color themes, and other branding elements for inspiration.

Hi, I’m Christy!
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved pretending to be a teacher and coming up with creative projects. I also love baking (especially birthday cakes for my nephews!), so creating this pretend bakery branding camp felt like the perfect mix of everything I enjoy.
I use Canva every day in my teaching business to design everything from worksheets to creative projects, and I love helping kids bring their ideas to life. Whether your child is brand new to Canva or already has some experience, I’ll guide them step-by-step as they design their own bakery brand - from logo to menu and more!
My goal is to create a space where kids feel supported, inspired, and proud of what they create.
