Class Experience
Beginner Level
Is your student curious about AI but unsure where to start? 🤖 In this one-on-one class, your child and I will explore how to use ChatGPT in fun and thoughtful ways. It’s a great fit for teens who enjoy big ideas, need help expressing themselves, or just want to try something new in a low-pressure setting. Whether they’ve never used AI before or have only heard about it, I’ll guide them through using ChatGPT as a creative thinking tool - not as a shortcut for schoolwork. Together, we’ll explore how to express ideas clearly, ask interesting questions, and feel more confident communicating. Your student will: • Practice asking strong, creative prompts • Learn how to shape and improve responses • Build confidence using their own voice and ideas • Understand how to use ChatGPT responsibly and thoughtfully Each session is creative, hands-on, and tailored to your student’s comfort level and interests. 💡 What We’ll Do in Each Session: Session 1: Idea Mash-Up Day: Practice simple prompts, review results, and explore how questions shape the response Session 2: Character Creator Challenge Build something creative step-by-step using guided prompts Session 3: Invent Something Weird! Create something silly and original while shaping the outcome Session 4: Surprise Generator! Take the lead - your student will guide the conversation and create something entirely their own I understand that AI is still new for many families, so if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m happy to help! ➡️ Just a heads-up. We’ll be working with text only (no image generation or visual tools in this class). A Note on School Use: This class focuses on using ChatGPT as a tool for creative thinking and self-expression, not for schoolwork or assignments. We’ll explore how to come up with original ideas, play with different ways of saying things, and discover what happens when you lead the conversation with your own voice and imagination. 💵 Use coupon code KESSENSCHAT2 to receive $2 OFF!

To use ChatGPT, students must be at least 13 years old, and those under 18 require parental or guardian permission, as stated in OpenAI’s Terms of Use.
Students can access ChatGPT without an account, but features like chat history and voice tools won’t be available. A parent or guardian should help set up a free account if those features would be helpful for your student’s learning or accessibility needs.

As a small business owner, I use ChatGPT almost every day to help me think creatively. Whether I’m brainstorming new project ideas, exploring different ways to phrase things, or organizing my thoughts, it’s become one of my favorite tools for stretching my imagination. I’m completely self-taught, and that’s part of what I love about it - ChatGPT is accessible, flexible, and can be used in all kinds of creative ways once you learn how to ask the right questions.
This class isn’t about coding or advanced tech skills - it’s about curiosity, communication, and finding fun ways to explore ideas. I’ve designed this experience to be gentle, supportive, and welcoming to beginners, especially kids who are new to using AI.
Before starting my business, I taught as a college professor, where I focused on helping students build real-world understanding through open conversation and ethical learning. That experience shaped my strong belief in guiding young learners to use tools like AI thoughtfully and responsibly - never to replace their thinking, but to expand it.
In this class, my goal is to create a space where your child can feel confident, curious, and creative while learning how to use ChatGPT in ways that support their growth - not just in school, but in life.
