Children will be led through a powerful Vinyasa sequence with engaging, accessible movement. In a Vinyasa class, the breath is connected to each movement, creating a sequence in which each movement flows seamless into the next. In this class, there will be fewer seated and lying down postures than standing and moving ones. The class will end with a short Savasana meditation and full body relaxation in which children will be invited though not required to lie down and close their eyes.

My teaching style is inquiry-based and learner-centred. I am dedicated to accessibility and inclusivity. Every shape is optional and has variations to suit all abilities. The class begins and ends with a verbal check-in, and my language is invitational. During the flow, learners will be asked to mute but are welcome to turn on their microphone to ask questions any time. 

No prior yoga or meditation experience is required. Stretchy and/or loose clothing and a soft surface on which to move is a must. This practice is safest on a yoga or exercise mat. 

This class is small in order to make sure I am able to check in individually with everyone, observing and responding to their practice.

While this is not only an exercise class, children will be moving their bodies quickly, so an open space in which to stretch their arms and legs wide while standing, kneeling, and lying down is needed. Falling over in a balance shape like Tree is possible. Adult supervision, appropriate clothing (loose or stretchy), and a soft surface (yoga mat or grass with soft soil) is necessary to avoid injury. Please advise me before class if your child has any physical disabilities that may impact their ability to do stretches and balance shapes. I am delighted to accomodate for all bodies with advanced notice. Footwear: The safest and easiest way to practice yoga is barefoot. Socks can cause slipping and injury if worn without shoes during the standing, stretching, and jumping portions of the class.
