Important Notes: All of my classes are inclusive. Classes are suitable for the neurodiverse child. CEFR: B1-B2 or above. In this one-time secular class, Learner will explore some of the major masterpieces that celebrate the spooky, not too scary, side of art history. The class starts with the traditions of Egyptian death masks, Aztec mosaic skulls, and covers among others the ghosts of Hokusai, skulls and skeletons by Van Gogh, Cezanne, Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, Picasso, Dali, and other slightly terrifying looking art from great master artists like Munch, Nolde, Schiele, Baselitz, and much more. Class will cover the different cultures, art styles and media. The class is structured with a vibrant and engaging slide presentation, exchanges, and Q&A session. Teaching style is kind and inclusive, emphasizing enthusiasm for world cultures, the arts as a reflection of our humanity, with fascinating learning & discovery of less known details. For a sense of community engagement, gauging Learner's interest level, and to be able to adjust accordingly, open mics and videos are required in class. Class size is kept small to allow for comments or questions. No previous experience is required. For further details, please refer to Parental Guidance below.

Orientación para padres
This class showcases masterpieces from ancient, medieval, classical, modern and contemporary art that include themes of mortality and life-death in the images of mummies, skulls, skeletons, masks, monsters, ghosts, witches, spiders, and such; however, special care has been taken to exclude grotesque imagery. A list of the works shown include among others: Royal Egyptian death masks and mummies, Aztec skulls and sculptures, ancient mosaics of skeletons, a Roman satyr sculpture, Medieval illuminated manuscripts depicting The Three Living and the Three Dead; from classical to modern art: Pieter Bruegel, Munch, Van Gogh, Cezanne, Nolde, Hokusai, Picasso, Dali, Rivera, Kahlo, Klee, Schiele, Baselitz, Warhol, Hockney, Bacon, Oviedo, Botero, Louise Bourgeois, Michael Locascio, including funny street art and even an awe inspiring Nebula in the sky that is the spookiest of them all! While some of these masterpieces may be visually strong, the class is kept academic and light, emphasizing history, cultures of the world, style and media.
