Grado de EE. UU. 7 - 10
This course is designed to provide a comprehensive coverage of the concepts in an Algebra 1 course. During this class we will get through 3 chapters. This is a continuation of the first two sections. Students will apply previous mathematical experiences to solve real world problems.

Every class will follow a similar outline. In the classroom a weekly practice will be provided at the end of the week. Students can post their answers in the classroom. At the end of the following week, the answers will be reviewed. All classes will begin with a short warm up. This could be skills that they may have previously learned before taking this course, or those that we have just reviewed. After the warm up, the topic will be introduced. The class will follow and I do, We do, you do format. This means, I will review the first few examples. Then we will complete a few examples together and then we will end with a them completing examples independently. There will be homework at the end of each class and it will be due before the start of the next class. Notes and corrections will be given in the classroom. If many students struggle with the concept, we will review and answer questions in class. Please note this class will run 3 days a week for 11 weeks during the school year and we will cover the final 6 chapters. The topics are as follows:

Orientación para padres
Parents should be aware that this course is the final part of an algebra course and students will be expected to have some knowledge of algebra skills gained in the first two courses. This final section will be rigorous and challenging.
Lista de útiles escolares
Most materials will be provided by the instructor. This will include worksheets and assignments needed to review. Students will need access to a printer to print notes and assignments. A basic calculator is needed (TI-30x) or a graphing calculator (TI-84). If students have access to a smart phone or tablet they can use a calculator app similar to Graphing Calc 2. Students should also have blank paper (lined or unlined) for taking notes and writing examples, graph paper for the graphing sections. A whiteboard and dry erase markers would also be beneficial for interactive reviews.
