Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Welcome to the Semester Journey writing course. It is perfectly suited for students who need and desire more practice writing 3, 4, or 5 paragraph essays. Our writing Journey begins with understanding the basic structure of a paragraph and an essay. To begin, students will construct a one-paragraph response using correct structure. As we move along our journey, our next stop will be to construct a corresponding introduction paragraph to match our first written paragraph and learn the strategies for the construction. We will continue in this fashion until we have reached a comfort level of writing five paragraphs. Along our journey we will examine writing structure, strategies and literary devices to incorporate into our writing.

The course will operate and list for ONE CLASS per week for approximately a 45-minute session. The basis of this course allows students to practice weekly writing tasks. Essentially, students will construct 31 writing tasks which is more than some students complete in an academic year.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a SEMESTER COURSE and will run for approx. 7/8 months
                            (depending on calendar weeks).
