This class is an opportunity for students to read some great literature and then respond by generating a discussion pertaining to the text.
Class experience
US Grade 6 - 9
I enjoy reading and sharing great literature with our youth. After the reading takes place in each class session, students will be presented and challenged with discussion questions that relate to the pages read. This class will allow students to not only engage and connect to reading some intriguing literature but also to verbally respond by sharing their understanding and opinions of the characters and events within each text. Students will be able to deconstruct plots and literary development of a given text.
I have had more than 20 years of classroom and tutorial experience teaching Writing Skills to various age groups. I have extensive coursework and professional development training in the academic area of Writing. I have taught writing skills and strategies with English Language Arts Courses and with the READ 180 program which contains a writing component.
