This is the FLEX class format for students who might feel more comfortable in an asynchronous environment or can't attend a live section. Improve your math skills with skills in Touch Point math! Every number has specific "touch points" and when learned, students can add and subtract quickly! This is perfect for a student who you notice is counting on their fingers a lot, or taking a long time to add and subtract. I will post an interactive video every Tuesday showing the skills of Touch Point math. I will also post pdfs for them to print and then copy/trace the touch points to follow along during the videos, however, they can also use a dry erase board/markers or pencil/paper. They can take a picture of their work and post to the classroom to show the teacher and their classmates. Each Friday, a Nearpod lesson with a quiz will be posted for interactive involvement with the lesson concept and each other. Day 1-Learn Touch numbers 1-5 and some simple addition Day 2-Learn Touch numbers 6-9 and more addition Day 3-Review and practice all Touch numbers, introduce subtraction Day 4-Review and practice everything--and even try some harder math! The students will need prior knowledge of addition and subtraction--this class is not to teach how to add & subtract, rather, a method of how to do it easily and quickly.
