I love helping kids understand how to add and subtract positive and negative numbers. Integers can sometimes be confusing, but I have a little poem to help, and I like to draw pictures to help explain how the numbers work while we have our conversations. (Judgement-free zone for my drawings.) Students might be asked to reply in the comments on Zoom or to interact with me on the Zoom whiteboard.
