In this one time class, students will practice doubles, a strategy to assist them in adding basic facts. Students will observe the teaching demonstrating the strategy. Students will practice the strategy with the teacher and on their own. This strategy can help students who are trying to move away from not using their fingers as often to add numbers together. Students should know their numbers up to 100 and their values as well as know basic addition. Students who know their numbers up to 100 and their values, as well as basic addition, could do well in this class. Let's practice doubles, a strategy to add basic addition facts.

Hello everyone! Welcome to Outschool!
My name is Ms. Julie and I'm excited to meet you! I teach Reading, Math, Writing, ESL (English As a Second Language), and other subjects too. I've been an educator and teaching for over 20 years in both brick-and-mortar and online. When I'm not teaching, I can often be found tutoring online or in person. My experience includes working with preschool to high school students with a lot of my experience with elementary and middle school age groups. I have an elementary education K-6 grade license as well as a math 5-8 license and a K-12 ESL (English As a Second Language) License. I have taught ESL (English as a Second Language) for many years also. My masters in reading has been a great resource as well.
Every student can learn and I believe we all learn in different ways. I love to have fun while learning! When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time outside with my furry friend or time with family and friends.Reviews
