I was a 2nd grade teacher for many years before joining Outschool. I have also tutored students in reading, math and science after school. In my 2nd grade class, we focused on math facts nearly everyday. I created a classroom environment where learning was fun and engaging and all students were welcomed. I try to make sure all students are able to participate in some way while still respecting their comfort level with a new teacher and new classmates.
