Homework
1-2 hours per week. There will be required homework outside class time. I recommend students commit 30 minutes daily if possible for an ultimate Experience. Students are expected to keep up with the homework each week. If a student misses a class they are expected to watch the recorded video and if they have any questions then to reach out to me. It is imperative that the student stays up-to-date with their work for successful completion of the program.
Assessment
Learners will be graded at the end of the program with direction on what to work on and congratulated on the skills they have improved.

Class Experience

Each week we will practice new exercises to build up to our final week which will be your Final performance class.

Pre-requisite:  Truth On How To Become An Actor with Weekly Lessons

Week 1: Introduction to class.  We will play improv warm up games to build team spirit and trust amongst the group.  Then we will go over class guidelines and expectations and finally what to expect for the remainder of this exhilarating program.  Performance pieces will be posted for students to chose from.

Week 2:  Warm up exercises followed by the lesson plan:  Character Objectives and Tactics
Students will demonstrate their understanding of character objectives by breaking down a scene into action units.

Week 3: Warm up followed by lesson plan:  Intermediate Character Development
Students will demonstrate an understanding of the methods of discovering character analysis by actively participating in the discussions and activities throughout the lesson.

Week 4:  Warm up exercises followed by the lesson plan:  The Moment Before
Students will demonstrate their understanding of the concept of a high stakes moment before by creating and utilizing a moment before in their performance.  

Week 5:  Warm up exercises followed by the lesson plan:  Obstacles and Relationships
Students will demonstrate their understanding about how various relationships with other characters affects character development by participating in a “Contentless Scene” with a partner.

Week 6:  Warm up followed by lesson plan:  Memorization 
Students will demonstrate understanding of memorization by applying memorization techniques to their performance piece.

Week 7:  putting all you have learned into your chosen scene.  This is where it all comes together, rehearsals.

Week 8:  Warm ups followed by short rehearsals and performance.  Ending with a debriefing and improv game.

Each week students will be given a short lesson plan and then given time to rehearse within their small group in a breakout room then will come back into the larger group to perform and be given feedback and encouragement.

This is a fun class that is meant to inspire students to pursue their passions and believe in their imaginations and abilities.

Students will have a stronger understanding of how characters are developed in-depth and how by making choices in costume, Character development, the moment before and relationships Can alter the performance and the entirety of the mood and scene.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Sources
Please bring to class a notebook, pencil and eraser and a water to keep you hydrated. It is highly recommended that you have a printer for this program to print out the short scenes and or monologues. However it is not necessary, as it is good practice to have the students write out their line so it helps them memorize.

From there, I went on to study film acting through coaches in LA and London.

I have taught over 2000 actors and have helped them to successfully prepare for their careers in acting.  On average, 80% of my students have gone on to book work in film, tv and commercials.
