During this fun and engaging GingerBread storytime, learners will listen as I read The Gingerbread Girl! As I read, I will pause and allow students to make predictions as to what they think will happen next. After reading the story, students will decorate their own gingerbread girl or boy! Students may share their Gingerbread if they would like when they finish! The lonely old woman and the lonely old man decide to bake a girl this time, but when they open the oven, she runs off as her brother did. Never fear, this smart cookie has a plan to outfox the fox. Will it work? Let's just say that the ending is sweet for everyone.
Learning Goals
Students will have fun and be creative!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Georgia Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
As a licensed teacher specializing in Reading, I have had the opportunity to support and engage students with diverse learning needs. My experience has enabled me to develop a strong understanding of different instructional strategies to ensure that all students have the skills necessary for academic success. I am passionate about creating a positive classroom environment that is both supportive and engaging, where students feel comfortable sharing their ideas and participating in discussions. With my expertise in Reading instruction, I strive to help each student develop a lifelong love for reading while achieving academic goals.
My passion is literature. I believe stories make concepts more palpable to children. Stories can teach readers valuable lessons, make them laugh, and see things from a different perspective, or take them somewhere new!
When I have time, I like to travel, experience different cultures, and learn the history of people and places. I am also an animal lover! I have two dogs, have worked with animal rescues, and fostered cats and dogs for years.
If you are interested in a class and don't see a time that meets your needs, please send me with your time request. I look forward to meeting your learner in class!
