In this one time class, Teacher Amanda will read a magical story about a very special unicorn! Learners will listen in as she reads the story, then we will discuss the story/reading comprehension afterwards (reviewing characters, story plot, character feelings, etc). After the story we will be doing a super fun unicorn treasure hunt all together! Teacher Amanda will ask learners to locate between 3-5 different items in their room, home, etc. to show to the rest of the class. Will your learner be able to find them all? This class is a great way for learners to practice their reading comprehension skills, listening skills, quick thinking skills, and is also a great way for them to get physically active as they race to quickly locate the items for the treasure hunt! Treasure hunt items may include things like: something shiny, something purple, something sweet, something sparkly, something that is in the shape of a heart, something that is special, etc. Learners are encouraged to be creative when choosing their treasure hunt items, and we'll be sure to have a lot of fun in class!
