Your child will learn to identify the parts of a book, sequencing, life cycle of apples, and we will review the parts of an apple while listening to an informative fall story, How Do Apples Grow by Betsy Maestro. Students will learn about the life cycle of an apple. Students will learn about the parts of a book. Students will practice pre-reading skills such as reading from left to right and top to bottom. Students will understand words represent a spoken word and convey a message. Students will answer simple questions about the story. Students will describe elements in a story, for example, characters and/or setting (time, place, and/or environment). Students will learn graphing skills.
3 files available upon enrollmentblue (or a color other than listed), red, green, brown, and white (or popsicle sticks instead of white construction paper) construction paper, scissors, glue, Red pom poms, red glitter glue or small red circles (these will be apples on the apple tree) printout that will be provided upon enrollment.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
