Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
In this one-time class, we will read "The Gruffalo" by Julia Donaldson. Julia Donaldson is also the author of Room on the Broom! This is a fun story about a clever mouse. Before, during, and after the book I will ask students questions and engage in discussions with them about what they think will happen, and why they think that. I will also ask comprehension questions during and after the story.

Next everyone will make their very own Gruffalo face! There is an example of the Gruffalo craft in the class cover image.

*Please be sure to have materials prepared before class, especially the paper plate painted or colored brown.

**Students may need help cutting the ears, horns, and teeth, please feel free to cut them out prior to class.

If time allows, we will recall the sequence of events in the story.
