This class will meet 12 times, to allow your child to become comfortable with speaking in front of others. Class 1 - Each learner will pick their favorite cartoon character, and pretend to be them by saying a few things that their character might say. We will talk about how our voice and our movement can make stories more interesting. Class 2 - We will continue our discussion of voice and movement by practicing what different characters would look and sound like. Class 3 - Each learner...
This class is taught in English.
This class will focus first and foremost on putting the learners at ease so that they are comfortable speaking in front of others. Secondarily, we will work on their speaking and storytelling skills so that they are more effective.
I have several years of experience teaching competitive public speaking.
One show-and-tell toy or stuffed animal for the 6th class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents should be prepared to remind their children to bring a show-and-tell item to our third class, and also approve what their learner decides to bring.
