*Message me for times that fit your learner's schedule.* As the mom of two flute players, I know what it's like to want to provide your children with private music instruction, only to be deterred by the cost of doing so. That's why I'm offering private flute lessons for a very affordable price. I feel like music lessons shouldn't break the bank during those first couple of years when kids are just trying to see if the instrument suits them well, and if they have enough interest to continue. The first two years of instrumental music are the toughest for young musicians. Everything is new and difficult, and sometimes progress is questionable. That's why we see so many first and second year students give up before they ever really got started. Private instruction helps keep those junior musicians motivated and happy about what they have accomplished. My lessons are 30 minutes long, as it is difficult for a beginning flute player to play much longer than that without their mouths hurting.
Learning Goals
Students will learn to read Treble Clef music, learn about time signatures, dynamics, tempos, etc. They will also learn how to care for and store their instrument, and about how discipline and dedication to practice will affect their performance.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am not a professional musician. I did receive a music (flute) scholarship to college, but chose to major in business instead. Even so, I continued playing flute as an adult in a variety of community bands and for special events. I also taught flute in my early adult years and helped many students receive the highest ratings at their annual scholastic music competitions.
