Beginner Level
The Nuvo Toot is a recorder that students play out to their right side. There are two types of mouthpieces that come with the Toot. One is played by placing the mouthpiece in the mouth like a recorder. The other is a hole that the student blows into and across like a flute. This gives the student a great deal of flexibility, depending on their skill level. This class will progress according to your learner's ability. It is very easy-going, and focuses on nurturing a love of playing music. Although home practice is very much encouraged, it is not pushed. We believe in positive reinforcement and fun! In addition to learning to play songs, your student will learn the basics of reading music on the treble clef staff, note values, and simple music concepts such as repeats and articulation. The music book is free and can be downloaded from the manufacturer's (Windstars) website. https://www.nuvoinstrumental.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Dood_&_Toot-Play_It_Today-2023_EN_RevA.pdf
