In this interactive class, students will enjoy the charming story of Spoon! Through this heartwarming text, learners will have the opportunity to practice the skill of identifying the main idea and supporting details. We will use the comparison image of an umbrella and raindrops to illustrate this reading strategy. Learners will create raindrops of details which will be added to a large anchor chart. Students will improve their understanding of the reading strategy of main idea and supporting details through a text and interactive activities.
A one page handout will be provided to all learners prior to class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
