In this ongoing online course, students will learn about Montessori grammar symbols and develop their writing skills using a variety of parts of speech.
Class Experience
US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Session 1. In this engaging class, students will have the opportunity to listen and interact with the Montessori story of the noun and its origin. They will learn about the pyramid noun symbol and how it came to be through a unique story, a slideshow, and many examples. We will then play a noun sorting activity in which learners can share some real examples of nouns. Students will also create sentences with nouns and label with the pyramid symbol they have learned. - Students will improve their understanding of the nine types of Montessori grammar symbols, and practiced using these in the writing process.
Assessment
Frequency: includedDetails: Learners will participate in an exit slip type activity to demonstrate understanding of the class topic.
Handouts will be provided for each class session.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
