Intermediate Level
In this ongoing course, your learner will be able to get individualized assistance to help them with their current ELA or math curriculum. Some sample topics I can give in English language arts include: beginning and intermediate phonics, decoding, early reading skills, grammar work, word study, writing skills, and handwriting. In the subject of math, I can offer customized assistance in such areas as beginning and intermediate addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, time concepts, money and multi step word problems. If your child needs support during the school year with assignments or help preparing for assessments, I would love to give them the support they need to be successful! Before our sessions begin, it’s requested that I be given information about what your child is currently working on. I’d love to get to know your child’s strengths and areas for growth. If you can send any pictures of specific work that would be very helpful. Sending the work to me the day before will help me prepare and make the most effective use of our time together. I am a very student centered teacher and strive to support students by meeting them at their instructional level. I am happy to adjust to a pace that is comfortable for your child, so they are challenged but not frustrated. If they need supplemental work, I’m glad to provide that as well. My goal is to help give your child a deeper understanding of the skill they are practicing, thereby boosting their confidence! Please make sure your learner has their work with them for our class and any other materials needed. I look forward to meeting and helping your child!
