In this half-hour course, students will learn about aspects of sleeping and dreaming including stages of the sleep cycle, theories of sleeping & dreaming, and basic facts about sleep disorders. Part of the AP Psychology curriculum.

Class experience

1. Neural and behavioral characteristics of the stages of the sleep cycle
2. Theories of sleep and dreaming
3. Basic facts about sleep disorders
Students will not necessarily need anything, but notetaking supplies may be a good idea.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Matthew Walker's "Why We Sleep" is referenced, and aspects of the book are discussed.
