This class will cover a variety of topics on the relationship between humans (including brains and behaviours) and their environments. Each week will present a different topic, so you can join at any time! Class time will take a combined lecture and discussion format, with plenty of space for questions and ideas. Classes will also include other interactive tasks such as short quizzes, truth or myth votes, and other items where appropriate to the content. No prior knowledge is required, but...
Some topics may lead to emotional responses or strong opinions. Learners will be instructed that friendly debate is welcome, and all questions are valid. We will be aiming to take a scientific approach, and focus on understanding how and why different people might have different opinions and viewpoints on some issues.
A range of peer-reviewed academic sources will be used to inform class topics. For example, articles from: https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/psychology/sections/environmental-psychology https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/journal-of-environmental-psychology
