Are you interested in how younger individuals think, act, and feel? In this class, we will discuss topics related to the psychology of childhood. Each week I will present a scientific theory and recent research paper in the class. Learners will have the opportunity to think critically and discuss their thoughts with the class. In my classes, there are lots of ways to participate. Some learners prefer to raise their hands and talk, others like to use the chat, and some learners like to listen. I urge my learners to participate whichever way that makes them feel comfortable. Each week I will also provide a worksheet. Learners are welcome to send me their answers and I will give them feedback. Here's the list of upcoming lessons. Week of March 17th: How does music impact behavior? Week of March 24th: Trauma responses in kids Week of March 31st: Screen time & creativity: Is there a connection? Week of April 7th: Where do phobias come from in children? Week of April 14th: The impact of parenting practices (such as "cry it out") Week of April 21st: NO CLASS Week of April 28th: Video game addiction Week of May 5th: Understanding the impact stigma associated with ASD and ADHD
