Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from West Coast University
Hello! My name is Erica Renee, and I’m a Registered Nurse (BSN, RN) and Licensed Esthetician (LE) with over 10 years of experience in healthcare and skincare science. My background allows me to bridge the gap between medical knowledge and real-world skincare education, helping students understand their skin from both a scientific and practical perspective.

🔬 My Expertise & Training:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN, RN) – Extensive knowledge of human anatomy, skin physiology, and medical conditions affecting the skin.
Licensed Esthetician (LE) – Formal training in skincare treatments, skin analysis, and dermatological concerns.
10+ years in healthcare – Working in hospitals, hospice, and mobile internal medicine has given me deep experience with skin health, wound care, infections, and dermatological conditions.
Experienced in teaching & mentoring – I’ve worked with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to educate them on proper skincare, hygiene, and wellness habits.
👩🏾‍🏫 Teaching Experience:
I have spent several years educating individuals of all ages, from young learners to adults, on health, wellness, and skincare best practices. My passion for teaching extends beyond healthcare settings—I have mentored students, conducted hands-on skincare workshops, and guided future healthcare professionals in understanding skin science and self-care.

As a mother of two boys (ages 15 & 2), I also understand how to engage young learners in an interactive, fun, and educational way. My approach ensures that students feel encouraged, engaged, and excited to learn about skincare in a way that is age-appropriate, science-backed, and practical.

💡 Why I Created This Class:
I designed this Skin Detectives course to make learning about skin health exciting, relatable, and interactive. Many young people struggle with understanding their skin and how to take care of it properly. With my combined background in nursing, esthetics, and education, I ensure that this class is informative, engaging, and empowering for students!

I look forward to helping your child become a Skin Detective! 🕵🏾‍♀️🔎
