We focus on learning terms related to anatomy and pathology of that system. We practice spelling and pronunciations in real-time. There will also be reviews with quizzes and games. An optional study guide will be provided before class and can be submitted for a completion grade and feedback after each class. 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢 𝙋𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙨 ⭐ As per Outschool policy, 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘬-𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘸𝘦𝘣𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘴. I encourage webcams to stay on during class, but it is not mandatory. ⭐ If a learner needs to miss a class, please let me know in advance. Learners who miss a class have access to class material and recordings. Transfers or refunds for the week are an option.

Parental Guidance
Images as it relates to surgery and pathology may be graphic in nature. The topics "Urology", "Gynecology and Obstetrics" cover sensitive topics as related to reproduction. Classes on the reproductive system will focus on the terms related to anatomy, rather than topics on sexuality, gender issues and sexual health. All material presented is factual and science-based.
Nearpod.com will be used in every class. This third party tool is approved. No additional account is required. A link will be provided at the beginning of class.
Supply List
A study guide will be made available before class starts. Learners can opt to have this ready before class to help follow along during lecture. Should you choose, the study guide may also be submitted as a graded assignment.

My experience in teaching started when I was in high school as a math and ESL tutor. I majored in life sciences at Queen’s University in Ontario with a minor in psychology. I moved to North Carolina and practiced for 5 years as a chiropractor and acupuncturist before starting a family and embarking on a second career as a university instructor. I have been teaching anatomy & physiology and medical terminology for over 15 years.
