1-on-1 Tutoring - Sight Words Fun (1x a Wk) Story, Sing, Write, Search, & Color

In this ongoing private lesson that meets 1x a week, your child will listen to stories from the Curious George Sight Words book series and the Sight Word Tales book series, we will sing songs, trace the words, color the sight words in a picture, and find the sight words in a word search puzzle. There will be a pdf file that will need to be printed for each class. The pdf file can be found in the classroom in the comments the week of the class.

We will focus on 4 or 5 new sight words per class. Your child will be encouraged to sing along, trace the words, find the words in the pictures and puzzles, as well as talk about the words we are learning that day. I hope to see your child in this class soon!

1. We will sing the hello song and greet each other.
2. I will show the student the sight words on flashcards and in sentences.  
3. I will read a book with those sight words in it.
4. We will sing a song with the sight words of the day.
5. We will trace the sight words on the worksheet.
6. We will use different colors to color the sight words in the pictures on the worksheet.
7. We will find the sight words in a word search puzzle.  
8. We will sing the song again.
9. Your child will show me their work on their worksheet.
10. We will sing the goodbye song.

Week 4: Sight Words (down, in, little, out, up)
Week 5: Sight Words (do, help, it, now, to)
Week 6: Sight Words (find, play, see, where, you)
Week 7: Sight Words (big, good, on, want, was)
Week 8: Sight Words (black, brown, color, funny, will)
Week 9: Sight Words (blue, he, make, she, they)
Week 10: Sight Words (about, all, look, there, words)
We will switch to the Sight Words Tale book series for the next 10 weeks.
