1-on-1 Tutoring - ABC Fun (1x Wk): Show & Tell, Story, Sing, Trace, Color & Draw

In this ongoing once-a-week private lesson, your child will bring show & tell for each letter, listen to a story, learn a song, trace words, color, and draw a picture using the letter of the day. I would love to work with your child!

I have created a worksheet for each letter that will need to be printed for each class so your child can trace the letter of the day, words that begin with that letter, and color the pictures.

Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Beginner - Advanced Level
In this ongoing private tutoring class that meets 1x a week, students are encouraged to bring something that begins with the letter of the day for show & tell. We will sing a hello song at the beginning and a goodbye song at the end of each class. They will listen to a story that corresponds with the letter of the day, sing a song, trace words, color, and then draw a picture of an animal or object using the letter of the day. There will be a pdf file that will need to be printed for each class that can be found in the classroom under the welcome comment the week of the class. We will focus on one letter per day. No prior knowledge of the letters is required. We will listen to Hip Hop ABC or Chicka Chicka Boom Boom while your child colors the pictures on the worksheet or they may get up and dance during this song. During each class, your child will be encouraged to sing along, do the actions to the songs, and talk about the letters, words, and pictures. I enjoy private lessons because I like to interact with students to help them build confidence and feel special. I hope to see your child in this class soon!

1. We will greet each other and your child will have a chance to show & tell if they brought something to class that begins with the letter of the day. Then we will sing the hello song.
2. I will read a book.
3. We will sing a song.
4. We will trace the letter of the day and words that begin with that letter on the worksheet. We will learn the sounds of the letters and sound out many of the words phonetically when possible.
5. We will watch the video and listen to either Hip Hop ABC or Chicka Chicka Boom Boom while coloring the picture on the worksheet or dancing.
6. We will draw a picture of an animal or object that begins with the letter for that day.
7. Then your child will have a chance to show off their work at the end of class.
8. We will sing the goodbye song.
