Mastery Evaluation
I have created a worksheet for each short and long vowel that will need to be printed for each class so your child can write the words, color the pictures, and use the play-dough to form the words.

Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
Beginner Level
In this ongoing class that meets 1x a week, students will listen to a Curious George, Bernstein Bears, Paw Patrol, or Pete the Cat story with short or long vowel words, sing songs, trace short vowel or long vowel words, color pictures, and make letters with play-dough to form words. There will be a worksheet that will need to be printed for each vowel class. The pdf file can be found in the classroom under the weekly comments or the welcome comment each week.

Your child will be encouraged to sing along and talk about the words we are learning that day. There are only 4 spots available per class because I like to interact with each student to help them build confidence and feel special. I hope to see your child in this class soon!

A minimum of 2 students must sign up for this ongoing class in order for it to begin and continue. If there is only one student, the parents will have the option of enrolling the student in a private lesson of the same once a week class for $25 per week.

1. We will greet each other and sing the hello song.
2. I will read a book.
3. We will sing a song using the vowel of the day words.
4. We will trace short or long vowel words on the worksheet and sound the words out phonetically.
5. Students will use play-dough to make letters to form words. There will be pictures they can color to go with the words we are making with play-dough.
6. Students will have the opportunity to show off their work by holding up their worksheets.
7. We will sing the goodbye song.
