Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - 1
Beginner Level
In this ongoing class that meets 2x a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays), students will listen to stories (Pete the Cat, Curious George, Paw Patrol, & Berenstain Bears), sing songs, trace short vowel or long vowel words, color pictures, and make letters with play-dough to form words. There will be a worksheet that will need to be printed for each class. The worksheet can be found in the classroom under the welcome comment the week of the class.

We will focus on one vowel per week. Your child will be encouraged to sing along and talk about the words we are learning that day. There are only 4 spots available per class because I like to interact with each student to help them build confidence and feel special. Since this is an ongoing class, you can drop in and out for any of the weeks. I hope to see your child in this class soon!

A minimum of 2 students must sign up for this ongoing class in order for it to begin and continue. If there is only one student, the parents will have the option of enrolling their child in a private lesson of the same twice a week class for $50 per week.

1. We will greet each other and sing the hello song together.
2. I will read a book.
3. We will sing a song using the vowel of the day words.
4. We will trace short or long vowel words on the worksheet and sound the words out phonetically when possible.
5. Students will use play-dough to make letters to form words. There will be pictures they can color to go with the words we are making with play-dough.
6. Students will have the opportunity to show off their work by holding up their worksheets.
7. We will sing the goodbye song.
