Homework
1-2 hours per week. *Students need to read the book before doing the posted activities and discussion prompts. (If the text is too hard for your child to understand, parents may feel free to read sections aloud to the child for better enjoyment of the novel or have your child listen to the story with an audiobook version.) *Each week students are to complete the posted Pear Deck activity based on the reading for the week. Students are also to respond to the provided Flip Grid discussion prompt.

📝Character Trait Posters: Throughout the class, learners will create a cumulative poster of leading lady character traits as they learn what it means to be a leading lady in their own lives.

 Dive into the enchanting world of “Ella Enchanted” as you explore the first 16 chapters. You will focus on understanding Ella’s character, challenges, and resilience. You will deepen your reading comprehension skills by analyzing Ella’s traits that make her the heroine. 
Lesson 2:
Ella Enchanted - Chapters 17-End
 As you finish “Ella Enchanted,” you will analyze how Ella's character evolves and the resolution of her quest. You will focus on the traits that make Ella a strong leading lady, contrasting her with Hattie's traits. You will respond to reading prompts and discussing the story’s themes. 
Unit 2: The Two Princesses of Bamarre
Lesson 3:
The Two Princesses of Bamarre - Chapters 1-16
 Begin your journey with “The Two Princesses of Bamarre” by examining the personalities and motivations of the main characters. You'll focus on the strong female traits exhibited by Addie and Meryl, enhancing your reading comprehension through character comparisons and discussions on the plot's progression. 
Lesson 4:
The Two Princesses of Bamarre - Chapters 17-End
 As you finish "The Two Princesses of Bamarre," you will focus on the characters' development and the story’s climax. You will reflect on how their sisterly bond and friendships strengthen their journey.
You will write responses discussing the themes and characters' journeys.
