Learners will be able to: -use different place value forms to represent numbers -round to the nearest 10 and 100 -add numbers using expanded form, number lines, the standard algorithm, the commutative property, and the associative property -subtract numbers using models, number lines, across zeros, and the standard algorithm -solve one and two step word problems using addition and subtraction -identify patterns on an addition chart -explain the relationship between addition and subtraction
I have my bachelors in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I am an experienced teacher with 9 years of professional teaching experience.
Homework Offered
Independent work will be provided for each lesson in the form of either a digital activity, a printed activity, or both. Digital activities will be automatically submitted to the teacher. For printed activities, the learner will need to take a picture of their work to upload to the classroom. The teacher will review and provide feedback for work submitted within 48 hours of receiving submitted work.Assessments Offered
Assessments will be offered at the end of each unit as a check-in for learners. This is an opportunity for learners to check in to see what they understand and what they still have questions about. All assessments will be digital.Grades Offered
Learners should have already completed math up to 2nd grade. We will pick up at third grade level math based on common core standards.
I will provide printed handouts. Learners may also want to have extra paper nearby for additional space to solve math problems.
This class may have activities and assessments that use EdPuzzle, Nearpod, Canva, and Kahoot!
