Class Experience

Join me in this interactive second grade, standards based Science class. In this class, I will guide your learner as they explore the world around them. I will encourage students to think outside of the box and demonstrate an understanding of material with learning experiences that are engaging and designed to spark interest and develop their natural curiosity. This eight week class meets twice a week. This class will build on your second graders prior knowledge.
This standards based Science unit is broken down over eight weeks covering the following topics:

Week 1: Weather
Week 2: Clouds
Week 3: Weather Patterns
Week 4: Earth's Positions
Week 5: Change Of Seasons
Week 6: The Sun/Sun's Movement
Week 7: Heat/Light Energy
Week 8: The Moon/Moon Phases

In the latest installment of Second Grade Science Explorers, students actively engage in learning by observing, interacting with materials, and asking questions as they explore new concepts and expand their understanding. Curriculum is presented in an engaging and memorable way with activities that are designed to be instructional and offer strong contextual support in the form of feedback and hints.

With second grade scientists in mind, I will guide your learner with hands on activities that are designed to help learners understand the phenomenon of weather. We will build on previous knowledge as students investigate and make predictions about the Sun and Moon. There are many opportunities to continue developing their knowledge and understanding of the Scientific Method and communication skills through peer interaction.

Please note this class follows the Outschool Limited Refund Policy.
Because student interaction is such an important part of this class, the minimum number of students will need to enroll for the class to run.
