In this ongoing class, I will gently guide learners as they practice letter recognition/sounds, identifying numbers/counting  and learning different shapes/colors. Class will begin with a welcome song and introductions. We will sing songs, move our bodies and listen to stories that relate to our learning goals. Learners will have the opportunity to build confidence, strengthen social skills and make friends. Most importantly we will have lots of fun as we learn. To help keep students engaged during the entire circle time, we will alternate between passive and active activities. Circle time allows children to share their thoughts and ideas with classmates. Children also get to practice turn taking, learn respect for others opinions, and understand the need for rules. It helps children to prepare for kindergarten activities.

Concepts Practiced
I will gently guide learners as we go over the days of the week, weekly letters (upper and lower case), number, color, and shapes. We will review concepts using Google slides, props and realia, as part of our circle time, along with  other interactive activities like songs, finger plays, rhymes, and chants.
 
Story, Game or Activity
These will relate back to the theme of our week and reinforce concepts learned and include things like scavenger hunts and show and tell.

*Because of the student interaction component of this class, if the minimum number of students are not met, the teacher will either cancel the class or push back the start date.
